Overall friendly staff, very quick on getting seated and food out to you. I will say that I have found the worse French Dip Ever!! I believe most bars are better than this restaurant. Now see that we are in Utah and it is rated 50/50 for food being worse than Alaska and Montana. There is no excuse for poor food quality and quantity. Please save yourself the trouble and never eat here.

Really Great service. Food leaves a lot to be desired. It's edible for sure, but nothing spectacular!! Great staff though!

I've been to Jim's Family Restaurant a couple of times, and I intend on continuing. The food is delicious, cheap ($11 for an entree and drink? Score!), came out fast, and piping hot. I'm removing one star, because our last waitress was a complete bimbo. She barely paid any attention to us, because a bunch of her High School buddies were seated at the table next to us. She sat and talked to them for 15 minutes while we waited for drinks and the check. We were going to order dessert, but gave up waiting for her to come back. All in all, I'd recommend it.

Service was awful. I was sat at a table and went 25 minutes before even getting my drink. Then the waitress didn't come back for another 20 minutes to take my order. Absolutely will not be returning.

This place was extremely bad. I would have given them one star but they served us incredibly quick. My soup was okay but everything else was not good.

I ordered the grilled chicken avocado sandwich with fries and it was just ok. The fries didn't seem to be cooked right, but the friends I came with loved it! I also ordered the strawberry lemonade and it was too sweet for me. I had to dilute it with water. Not a fan of this place and probably won't be coming back anytime soon. The servers are great and makes sure coffee/water was filled to the top.

What wasn't to love today? A nice server brought drinks promptly while we checked out the menu. Shortly after ordering, the food came out hot and delicious. I had the chicken fajita wrap stuffed with spicy shredded chicken, sautéed onions and peppers, with melty cheddar on top. The fries were piping hot and there was even a little cup of fry sauce. Great people, great food, great value. We will be back!

Not a fan. It was close to where we were and friends had picky kids, so we ended up here about 8:30 on a Saturday night for dinner. Limp french fries, undercooked chicken strips, cold veggies, overdressed salad. I could go one, but it's not worth it. Neither is going here. I left my meal almost untouched. Service left something to be desired, she had to come back several times to get the orders right or let us know something was out. Was also nowhere to be found once food / check were dropped, as she said she was almost done for the night.

Poor care in all aspects of dining. Since the fire and rebuild it has a Mouthy and ignorant seating staff. The place is not clean, plus you get the $hits. It's really sad because this place used to be great.

I went here around 8pm on a Tuesday. I got the french toast with strawberries. It was super bland, didn't taste like anything. The worst french toast I've ever had. Stay away from any of their battered breakfast (pancakes, french toast) cause it's gonna all be that way. My friend said the skillets are delish, but I wouldn't know, so if you're getting breakfast go that route. But overall, go to Denny's before you go here. Service was a'ight. We had to call over our waiter for drinks more often than one would think necessary, and it wasn't busy at all. But he was super nice and upon noticing us call him over, checked more frequently. That being said, the Orea Cream Pie was AMAZING. Listen, I would go back just to buy that dessert. We had the chocolate cream pie too and it wasn't good, but I'm telling you, ORDER THE OREO CREAM PIE. Oh, also, only order it if you really like whipped cream cause it's doused, but I love that. It's the only reason this review got two stars instead of one, because it was that good.

I have always enjoyed Jim's Family Restaurant for their breakfast fare. This particular Jim's is a brand new facility (2010) due to a fire that they had at this location back in 2009. So.... the restaurant itself is immaculately clean and up to date. This morning I had the pork chops, eggs, hash browns and biscuits & gravy. The food was served fast and tasted great. For drink, I had a coffee and a large milk. Yes.... I was very impressed, pleased and happy with the size of their large milk. Finally, to top it off, I had a bowl of oatmeal, where they serve a cup of brown sugar and a little creamer pot full of milk. Everything was delicious, hot and served fast. Am definitely a fan for their breakfast, but have never eaten here for lunch, or dinner. Am gonna hafta make a mental note to try their other menu!! : )

I love Jim's because of the selection of food and the prices. The thing I don't like about this location is how busy it always is especially on weekend mornings. I guess that isn't their fault, they're obviously doing something right but they could definitely use one or two more servers, the host was very quick but I bet he would love some help. The waiter barely gave us a couple seconds to decide on what we wanted to order because he was so rushed with having so many tables. The one good thing though was the host was very quick to get people seated when tables opened. He also let my brother and I move up the wait list a little bit since I was 9 months pregnant and no one would offer me a seat in the waiting area. Usually I would have no problem waiting in line but it was very crowded which is super stressful with a big huge baby bump, I really appreciated it at that time.

Well they closed the Jims on 4100 s and redwood so I went here and it is very very busy. It's about the same quality food but was hard to get a moment with the staff to discuss the lack of my toast being delivered with my food. byt he time I got it, my breakfast was done and well since I put the yold on my toast it didn't do me any good. I am not sure if I need to drive this far for breakfast. But as always the food is good.

I was sad when they closed the Jim's on 40 something and Redwood but I actually like this location more. It's new and clean. It feels more spacious too. I still order the Jim's breakfast and it doesn't disappoint. So much you can never eat all of it. I love the cheese on the potatoes.
